We at Bestie Wonderland are working to make our site Bestie Wonderland at www.bestiewonderland.com accessible to people with disabilities.

Bestie Wonderland is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We believe that joyful learning should be an inclusive experience, and we are dedicated to providing a website that is easy to use and navigate for all of our users.

We have designed our website with the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. We are using the built-in accessibility features provided by our website platform, Wix, to enhance user experience and ensure broad access.

Our Accessibility Features

  • Keyboard Navigation: Our website can be fully navigated using a keyboard, without the need for a mouse.

  • Screen Reader Compatibility: We have included alternative text for images and a logical page structure to ensure compatibility with screen readers like JAWS and NVDA.

  • Clear and Readable Content: We use clear, easy-to-read fonts and high-contrast color schemes to make text legible for all users.

  • Responsive Design: Our website is designed to be accessible on a wide range of devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

    • We did this by:

      • Using the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

      • Set the language of the site

      • Set the content order of the site’s pages

      • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

      • Added alternative text to images

      • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

      • Reduced the use of motion on the site

      • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content

The accessibility of certain pages on the site depends on content that does not belong to Bestie Wonderland™ and instead belongs to third-party providers such as YouTube (for videos) and Instagram (for embedded social media content). The following pages are affected by this: /videos, /gallery, /social-feed. We therefore declare partial compliance with the standard for these pages.

Ongoing Efforts

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website. We regularly review our site to identify and fix any potential barriers, ensuring our content remains accessible as we grow and add new features.

We Welcome Your Feedback

Your feedback is important to us. If you encounter any accessibility issues or have suggestions on how we can improve, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are here to help and are committed to making our website the best it can be for our entire bestie crew.

Accessibility Arrangements

Our events take place in venues committed to accessibility. Sites we use have clearly marked accessible parking near entrances, step-free entry (ramps/elevators as needed), accessible restrooms, and seating with space for mobility aids. We provide visual materials/handouts and captioned videos when available. Service desks, classrooms, and performance areas are clearly signed and easy to access. If you have specific accessibility needs, please let us know at least 14 days in advance at BestieWonderland@gmail.com and we will make every effort to assist.

Requests, issues, and suggestions

If you find an accessibility issue on the site, or if you require further assistance, you are welcome to contact us through the organization's accessibility coordinator at bestiewonderland@gmail.com
